Referencing the deep root system of the prairie, this exploration and nature play area curates an open experience of discovery and adventure.

This adventure nature play area draws design inspiration from the natural processes, patterns, and materials of the prairie. A discovery pathway for exploration is created by timber set horizontally in the grass that branches and forks like the limbs of fallen trees. Stepping stones and boulders reference the meander belt of dry creek beds and the winding nature of water across the ground, and surrounded by a sea of native tall grasses that invite birds, insects and prairie wildlife.
